Big Girl Ash!!

So yesterday was a milestone for Ashlynn. While she was in the bathtub, she started crying. I ran in there to see what was wrong, and she was pointing into the water. I wasn't quite sure what was going on, so I just started asking her questions. I asked if she needed to go potty. She nodded her head yes. So I got her out of the bathtub and dried her off from the waist down, sat her on the toliet, and low and behold.....

SHE WENT PEE PEE ON THE BIG POTTY!!
YAY ASHLYNN!

She was a little scared. She almost started to cry until I got all excited and had her give me a high five. Then she knew it was a good thing. I let her wipe her own bum, which is one thing she likes to do whether she goes or not. She was excited, got down and back in the tub she went!!

Well the day continued, she didn't think anything else of it. When I was getting her pajamas on her and changing her bum, she decided to run into the bathroom right after I took the diaper off. I followed her, wondering what she was doing. When I got in there she had climbed back up on the toilet. I sat there with her and all of a sudden she started to go pee again! I was so excited and she knew it! That was TWICE in ONE day!! At this rate we could be potty trained in no time!! She was excited again and gave me another high five, wiped and got down. She ran around the house pretty excited and screaming.

So needless to say, yesterday was a milestone. She is starting to see that going pee on the BIG POTTY is ok! I am so proud of you Ashlynn! Keep it up Princess!

New Blog for Ashlynn... and going Private

So I have decided to add a new blog only about Ashlynn. It is one that I can just post about what she is doing, saying, or even just pictures. This way my family can keep up on the activities of her. I have made it a private blog, so if you are my family and want access to it and I haven't invited you, let me know so I can add you.

I have also been thinking about this for a while and have finally decided to go private. Its kinda scary what info can be accessed on the internet about everyone. So if you would like to be able to read my blog, please leave me your address so I can add you. I plan on going private at least by the end of the month. Thanks for everyone understanding!!

Love ya all!!

Cute things....

I just have to make a post about my cute daughter. I know almost every post is about her, but she just does so many cute and fun things that I want to share with those who aren't around us all the time!

She came home from her dad's house on Sunday and I had a late birthday present from my Aunt Laurie for her. She opened it and was in LOVE!! My aunt made her a blanket for her baby doll. She also gave her a new baby doll. She carried that thing around for the whole night and ever since. Everytime she needed it wrapped up she would bring it to me to have it swaddled again! She loves to rock-a-bye the baby too. The best was the other day when she walked into the kitchen with her doll in her arms and told me to 'shhhh'. It was so cute! Here are a few pictures of her from the other day.... Thanks for new baby and her blanket Aunt Laurie! We love it!!

We were laying in my bed last night watching TV, I leaned over to Ashlynn and asked if she wanted to go for a ride in the truck and get some Ice Cream. Ty had said how he wanted to go for a drive so I thought it would be a good time to go and get some Ice Cream, which I was wanting sooo bad. So Ashlynn climbed off my bed and ran into her room to get some shoes yelling 'cream cream'. I think she was pretty excited. Well we got into the truck and Ty decided that he wanted to go see the new Milk Dairy in New Castle, we stopped to get Adam, Kori, and Sara to go with us, and we headed on our way.

I couldnt believe how HUGE that dairy is! It is probably double the size of the one that my dad use to work at. DAD, you would be jealous of this one... it is all INDOOR!! The cows are all housed inside of a barn - where you can drive down the center of it to feed them. When they walk them to the milking barn, its all indoor. The milking barn itself is double the length of Russells is. Its crazy!! Ashlynn loved looking at the cows! When we were on our way over there I told her we were going to go look at cows and she started to 'MOO'. It was so cute! She loves animals! Anyways, Dad, the next time you are down this way we will have to go over there, it is pretty neat!!

After checking out the new dairy, we headed back to Enterprise and stopped at Marvs for Ice Cream. We met Melinda and Curtis there too! Ashlynn was so excited to get her Ice Cream cone, I took at few pictures of her eating it. I just cant get enough of how fun she is!

Notice the 'Little Mermaid' shirt she is wearing... I got it at DI the other day for 1$. She loves that shirt and wants to wear it everywhere we go. She cried the other day when I put it in the washer... I need to find another one!

New Furniture!!

Ok so we got some new furniture I want to show everyone! Well, its not brand new but, its new to us! First of all, Ty's sister was getting rid of her king bed so we told her that we wanted it. Yesterday he and I took a little adventure to St George to get it. It is STINKING HEAVY!! I couldn't believe how heavy the bed frame was!! Its really pretty. Makes me feel like a queen in it! Here are a couple of pictures I took of it

It is pretty big for our 'little' master bed room. We are hoping to take out some of our cabinets in our bedroom sometime, so it will have to fit til then! Here is a closer picture of the headboard, its the same for the footboard just smaller! :)

Pretty NICE huh??!! I love it! Thanks Tiff! Another thing we got this week was an old sewing machine cabinet that my uncle had forever and when he moved, he didn't want to keep it. Its been sitting in my moms garage for a little while, ok ok its been there for a long while!! But anyways, I stopped at got it from her house the other day and brought it home.

Its pretty neat. Its very old and I felt like I was going to break it, but it held up and sits perfectly in my room. Another perk to having this desk is... It came with a sewing machine!! I am so excited to start sewing on it! I have to have some lessons first, but I think I can pick up the hang of it!! Thanks Uncle G for the sewing cabinet.

So those are just 2 of the things we got. I forgot to take a picture of the cabinet that Ashlynn got from my mom. It was given to my mom when she was a little girl, I think she was saying that it was built in 1974 by her grandpa. Well it was just sitting collecting dust so they decided to refinish it and give it to Ashlynn to put her dish set in. She got new dishes and pans for Christmas, so instead of buying her a kitchen, we did it this way. I will take pics of that and post them later! Its a really neat little cabinet!

Quote of the Day...

If you don't think every day is a good day, just try missing one.

~Cavett Robert

So I have had a not so good day today. I dont know what was wrong with me. I dont know if it was the fact that I got up to early or since Ashlynn was winey. All day today I was onry. I yelled at the dogs. I yelled at Ty. I yelled at Ashlynn. I was just in a yelling mood. I put myself on time out. It was kinda nice. As I sat here at work all night, I have been thinking at how childish I have acted all day. I came across this quote and thought that this should be somewhere I can seen it all time to read it. How true is this statement? I read it and thought, "try missing one?", that isn't what I want. I feel really bad about how I treated everyone at my house today. I am going to try to keep this quote where I can see it so I can work on my attitude everyday and have good days!

Ashlynn's Birthday Party

As I promised last night, here are some pictures from Ashlynn's Birthday Party we had on Sunday night. It was lots of fun. We had most of our family there with us. Ashlynn got lots of toys, especially baby dolls, which she loves! She also got an etch-a-sketch from us that she loves to play with. My mom gave her dress up stuff, and Grandma snow gave her bubble stuff. I cant wait til it warms up and she can go outside to play with them!

Here is a video of Ashlynn I took with my phone. She is so silly. When you go to take a picture of her she says "cheese" really big and squints her face, its quite funny. We were at Taco Bell and she was being goofy so I recorded it!! Its making it face the opposite way than the rest of the stuff and I cant figure out how to fix it... so sorry, but you will have to tilt your head to the side!!

Weekend Fun ... Lots of Pictures... Beware!!

So this past weekend I was in St George. My sister Alivia, performed her solo and group dances for critiques on them on Friday. It was pretty exciting because I hadn't seen any of the dances and I am so excited for her competition season (Yes, I am living my dance life through her!!). She did amazing on her solo. She got a Superior "Grade" on it, which is the best you can get. She also did a group lyrical dance that got a Superior as well! I was so excited! While she was dancing, I got to use the "good" camera to take pictures. I am really wanting to get into pictures... I am hoping my dream will happen really soon!! Anyways, here are a few pics that I took.

Saturday I helped out at a desert motorcycle race that my Dad's 'motorcycle' group The Wizards puts on every year. The race is called Rhino Rally. It is a pretty large race. They have little peewee bike race for the younger kids, a mini for those who dont ride the big bikes, and then an 80+ mile race for the big bikes. It is intense! I had fun. There were so many people that crashed and not enough EMT's so I got to help out. Plus Ty's brother Tom was out there and got to go up in our helpicopter that we had there to help a rider that crashed. I thought it was pretty exciting that he got to do that! We also took the 'good' camera and we were snapping pictures all over the place... here are a few that I took out there!

Oh this is my brother Clinton. He will probably get mad at me for posting this next picture, but I will take the risk. I caught a couple of good pics of him at the race before it started so, Sorry Clinton, but I have to post this. Love ya tonz little brother!! At least they are the way huge pictures!! :)

Needless to say, I had fun and I do have to say, I did pretty good at taking my pictures!! It was also cute to watch all the smaller kids sign up and ride around so proud! I cant wait til next year!! Tomorrow I will post pics from Ashlynn's Birthday Party!
