Weekend update

So this past weekend, Ashlynn and I got to go to Provo with my mom and sister. Livi had a dance competition on Friday night and Saturday Morning at Provo High School. We left Friday morning and headed north. It was a good drive. Livi slept the whole way because she had been working so hard to that week with drill team tryouts and getting ready for competition. Ashlynn was good too, she watched movies the whole way. It was great!

I think I already blogged about my sister but I am going to do it again to add it into this post. She did awesome on her solo dance Friday night. I guess the judges didn't like her dance. She got 3rd attendant, which is 4th place. We thought it was the best that she had ever done that dance, but they didn't like how her dance was focused around her prop, which was in the middle of the floor. They told her that she needed to smile and have more facials.... well she had the most I have ever seen her have in my life!! So basically they were dumb! Oh well! She didn't really care because she got a phone call before the awards ceremony and found out that she had made drill. She was pretty excited for that! The other 2 girls from St George that we watched Friday Night got Queen. They were happy and it was good to see them so giddy and excited to win! We went to dinner that night at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Provo. I must say, it was NOT worth the 43 dollars I spent there. Oh well!! We made it to my aunts house in draper about 11 pm. What a long day!! We were so silly and laughed at each other til it was time to go to bed.

Saturday morning we had to be at Provo High by 7:30 AM!! That sucked! We say the coolest rainbow, I tried to get a picture of it.. here it is....

We dropped Livi off and we headed to get some coffee for me.. I totally need it! The first attempt I decided to spill it all over the van and myself. So I went back to get another one and with success I finally got to drink it!! It was so goood! The girls did really good and Ashlynn loved cheering for 'deedee' (LIVI). In fact, she thought every dance group was Livi's. It was funny! Here are a few pics that I took of Livi's Lyrical dance.

They did so good. They got 3rd in Jazz, 2nd in Lyrical, and 1st in Hip Hop. They weren't very happy but I think they did great! Good Job Girls!

After the competition, we headed over to the mall and did a little shopping. Ashlynn saw a Disney Store friday night, but we didnt have time to stop so we went back. She got 2 new shirts and a little mermaid bag. She loves them! On the way we saw this cool mountain with snow on top.. I couldn't resist but to take a picture.. look how cool...

Anyways, we had fun. We went to brunch with my moms family in Salt Lake on Sunday morning. We went to  Golden Corral and it was good! Ashlynn ate tons of food, I was so happy. We went home the long way, went through Gunnison and stopped and saw my dad for a few mins. It was a great weekend! Ashlynn drew a picture on my phone and saved it.. here it is.. isn't is so cute??!!
