Biggest Loser Diet Challenge... Day 1 & 2

Well we are off! The Challenge officially started yesterday! I am so pumped!! I am not sure how many people are in the challenge.. but there is like 200 bucks at stake! I am so gonna win! They have a 1st place that takes 75% of the money and 2nd place that takes 25% of the money!

I weighed in yesterday morning.. its sad to say that this is the heaviest I have ever been. I weighed in at 182.6 yesterday. Sad I know! I did go through my cupboards and get rid of all of our junk food. I didn't want there to be a temptation for not only me but for Ty as well.

I decided I would wait for Ty to get off work yesterday before I started the workout so we could do it together... thought it would be easy to push each other... ya.. I made it all the way through the video, with the exception of not doing all the reps. Oh boy am I sore today! It was working you core... ya, my stomach is killing me!! I love it!

I got up this morning, not counting on loosing anything, well I weighed myself and I am down to 179! Wow! 3.6 pounds down! I am so freaking excited! I couldn't believe it! This is going to be awesome! Well, until this weekend when we go to my dad's house and the the Jazz Game! Oh Well!! We will see what happens! I will post again in a few days!

My goal is to loose 50 pounds! That would be freaking amazing if I could do that! Well 3.6 is a start right??!! 3.6 down. 46.4 more to go! Wish me luck!!

Christmas 2009!!

Merry Christmas.... well its past now.. but still!! Christmas this year was fun! Ashlynn is at the age where she loved to open presents! Kody wasn't at our house, but he still got lots of stuff from us and my parents!

This year she must have been really good because Santa brought her a lot of things! She got a barbie trike, large building blocks, and a tea set from him! She loves them! She rides that trike around and runs into my walls inside the house.. it is quite funny! She also loves to take the blocks and dump them on the floor and kick them around.. ya, thanks Santa!! lol! Ashlynn also got a new baby doll. It goes in the bath tub with her too. She washed it like I wash her.. well kinda, but you know what I mean! There are some pics of Christmas Day!

This year we just stayed home, due to Ty being on call for the ambulance. Ty and I just bought each other work out stuff for Christmas. He also bought me a watch that measures my heart rate for when I exercise. I love it! I got him some cologne that smells really good. Its the new McGraw Cologne.. if you haven't smelt it, go get some!! YUM! My dad and stepmom came down to spend a few days with us. Ashlynn loved having all of them to play with. We has so much fun! They even bought a new couch and gave us their old one, well its not old, but its only 2 years old! Thanks again! That was so cool of you guys to do!!

Anyways, we went to Ty's family party on Saturday. It was fun! Then my family had dinner on Sunday. Ham and potatoes, good as always mom! Thanks!

Sunday, Dad went home and took Ashlynn with them for a few days until we go up. Its really quiet at my house.. I miss my little girl, but she is having so much fun with Grandma and Grandpa Childs! I was told that she went in and gave my dad a hug and kiss this morning and it just made his day! I hear he doesnt have too many of those, so I am glad that she is helping!!

I hope you all had a good Christmas and I hope everyone has a good New Year!!

Oh, how I miss her so....

Well, today made it 2 years since my Grandma Childs died. I can't believe it has been that long. It seems like yesterday we were sitting in her living room talking to her and she would be asking us how the weather was in St George, what we were doing for fun, asking if I was still dancing. She was such an amazing women! Not only was she a great Grandma, who never favored one child or the other, but she was an amazing mother to her 4 kids. She took care of my Grandpa for 50+ years!! But in my mind, I always asked myself, why? why her? She was so perfect. She worked so hard everyday.

I think one of the few hardest parts is that I didn't make it to her house in time. She passed away when I was an hour away. It was so hard to drive the rest of the way when I had been busting my butt to get there in the blizzard I was driving in. I was heart broken. I couldn't remember the last time I saw my Grandma, due to her being up in Gunnison and me too busy to get out of this town to go see her. Oh, how I miss her so!

The other hardest part is that I was 6 1/2 months pregnant with Ashlynn. I wanted so badly for Grandma to hold her when she was born. I wanted to get a picture of her and Ash together. Ashlynn's original due date was March 12, My Grandpa Childs Birthday. So it would have been cool if she was born on Grandpa's Birthday. Well, my mom had to put things into a different perspective for me... Grandma died and went to heaven to rock Ashlynn and sing and play with her before the rest of us get the chance to. She was in heaven taking care of my baby girl! Well closer we got to having Ashlynn, the closer it got to Grandma's Birthday. Low and behold, Ashlynn was born on My Grandma Childs' Birthday! It was so awesome to have someone celebrate their birthday the same as Grandma did!! I thought it was pretty awesome and so did Grandpa!

So as I sit here today and remember a great wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. I love you Grandma and wish I could give you a hug one last time! I miss you!!

Biggest Loser??!! Diet??!! Workout?!!

Well, it is that time of year again. Time for New Years Resolutions, thinking you want to do something, but sometimes not really making it happen. Last year I had a goal to work out everyday. Well I made it a month or so until Ashlynn got sick with pneumonia. It was really hard to take a sick baby to the day care at Gold's Gym to keep working out. So I stopped....

Well we have a friend that put together a Biggest Loser Challenge. I saw it one day on his facebook status and was excited. I told him that Ty and I would do it, even without asking Ty... haha! So here is how it works. Each person pays 10 dollars at the start of the Challenge. We have 90 days to lose as much weight as we can and at the end of the challenge we will see who has lost the most and they win the jackpot of all the money!!! I am so going to win that money man! Curtis told us the other day that so far there are 23 or 24 people doing it, even the mayor is doing it! It is going to be so fun!

So here is the plan for us.... We are going to be doing the P90X workout! I have been reading on the internet about it. I am not completely aware of everything you have to do, all I know is there are different workouts for each day and its a good workout. Ty said that they use this for Fire Fighters to get into shape. Well, I guess we are going to be doing it. There are a few guys on the Fire Department that are going to do P90X also. Ty and Brenden were talking last night about doing a firefighter calendar after they do the workouts cuz they will be ripped sexy things.. ha!

Along with the workouts you have a meal plan. Eating high proteins and so on. I will see what happens. I may start out with the rest of my Herbalife stuff and then use their meal plan, but I dont know. All I do know is I have a good 40-50 pounds that I would love to shed, if not more. When I went to the doctor's office the other day, I wanted to cry when they weighed me. :(

We went to Wal-Mart the other day, we decided, together, that we wanted to just not get each other anything for Christmas, and instead buy some workout equipment. We have a treadmill downstairs, which I am going to start running on, on top of the workout stuff. We bought 200 dollars worth of stuff to use.

I am way excited! This all begins on Dec 28th.. well Ty and I probably wont start it til we get back from my dad's for New Years, but that is ok. That just means we have to work extra hard! We will take before pics and measurements, and yes, I am going to keep track on here! I am sorry if you dont want to see the cute 'FAT' pictures, but oh well. :) Wish us luck all, I will keep you posted!!

Post for Kody!

So we decided for Christmas we would do a some picture frames for Kody's Mom and Ty's Parents. We went out last weekend and took some pics of Kody for them... here are a few pics! I think I did a pretty darn good job for my first 'photo' shoot.. hahaha! I would love to start taking pictures, it is so fun!!

There are so many places to take pictures up here in Enterprise. Some old barns, tractors, and during the spring and summer some really neat fields. Ty said he was going to get me a really nice camera for Christmas, but money ran short and we decided to do something else instead. Maybe by next year I will have a new camera and I can start taking some more! I love it! Kody was such a good sport, we went around and when I said to pose, he did. Thanks Kody man!

Ashlynn Loves Snow!

Snow??!! What the heck is that?! I haven't lived in a place that gets snow ever! I mean, my dad lives where they get snow, but growing up I wasn't up there enough to consider it 'living in snow'. Well, at the beginning of the month, I woke up and much to my surprise... there was SNOW outside!! It was so pretty! I felt bad that I couldn't go to work due to the roads really sucking, but hey, crap happens you know! I am being told this is just the start if the snow... I guess we will see!

Our house... the morning it snowed!

Ashlynn loved playing in the snow. She wanted to keep going outside to play, I kinda felt bad cuz I thought she was going to get sick. Well I was right. A few days after the storm, Ashlynn was sick :( But still, she had a blast playing out in the snow! She even started eating it and the icicles that were hanging from the roof. Here are a few pics we took outside!

At the beginning of November, my dad and family came down to St George for family pictures. It was the first time that they were able to be taken down here. I was so excited! Hogle Zoo

The day after Garrett and Caitlin's Wedding, the family headed to Salt Lake to the zoo. Ashlynn hadn't ever been to the zoo, so I thought it would be neat for her to see all of the animals. It was pretty fun, there were tons more animals than I thought there would be. There was a giraffe that was born a little while before we went, it was so cute! We rode on the train, ate ice cream, and saw lots of furry friends. We had a blast!!

The wedding was in their backyard and Ashlynn was the flower girl!! Congrats Garrett and Caitlin!!!

Cabin Fun.....

So its been awhile since I have posted on the blog... I will do my best in the next few days to get this all updated!!

We went up to our cabin at Panguitch Lake the first week in August. Ashlynn and I went up with my mom and the kids. It was really fun! We met most of our family up there and got to spend lots of time together. While we were there, we went on a few walks around the cabin and down to the river... her are a few pictures that we took along the way... It was really pretty in the mountains and the weather wasn't too bad. We had lots of fun!

Livi and Ashlynn playing in the river

Ashlynn trying to put the flowers she picked behind her ears

Ash and I walking down to the river... she was really tired!

Ashlynn decided to play in the new dirt that Jed and his dad brought up around the cabin... it was black dirt... and she ate some... oooo yummy... protein in the diet!! She definitely needed a bath before bed, and it is cabin traditions that the young kids bathe in the kitchen sink... cuz there isnt a bathtub at the cabin, just a little shower. Here is Ashlynn's photo of her kitchen sink bath! She really didn't like it!

Missing My Princess...

So for the past 2 weeks, Ashlynn has been at Dustin's house... I freaking miss her sooo much!! This is the most I have ever been away from her since she was born.. its hard!! So I decided to blog about her so that the next 3 days can go by super fast til I get her back on Sunday!!

She finally figured out how to put her shoes on her own feet... I had told her to get her shoes and we would go "outside".. I think that is the magic word... she had her shoes and sitting in the living room on the floor putting them on all by herself... She wanted to go outside... BAD!!

After she got them on, she made her way outside... and played for a while... it was fun, we watered the flowers and then put her swimming suit on and played outside with the dogs.

These next 2 pictures are of our 2 dogs, Rusty, he is a Jack Russell Terrier who can jump over a fence and run so fast. Then there is Roy. He is a blood hound dog. He will be the county search and rescue dog one day... once he gets some motivation to do something. They are both awesome dogs to have around kids. They love Kody and Ashlynn.

Misty these next few pictures are for you... Yes... we have a bunny rabbit too... he doesn't have a name but he is so cute and Ashlynn really likes him too..... One of the pictures I must have caught him while he was licking his mouth or something.. kinda looks funny!!

As you can tell.. Ash has lots of fun up here in Enterprise at our petting zoo... I can't wait til she comes home!! I think the animals miss her just as much as the rest of us do!
